Sean Payton, the new head coach of the Denver Broncos was hired to correct the team’s most embarrassing performance from the NFL 2022 season. Payton blamed former Denver head coach Nathaniel Hackett, who he said did a “historically bad job” for the team’s failure last season.

Payton, who blasted the Broncos for their failures under the former regime, also took a swipe at the New York Jets.
Payton stated, “It’s not often that an NFL Team organization or team gets embarrassed.” And that’s what happened.” It was partly their fault for spending all that time (expletives) trying to win offseason – the publicity, the pomp, and ceremony, and marching around people.

Payton apologized to reporters for his comments on Friday and admitted that he regretted them 40 minutes later.
Payton told NFL Media that he had “one of those moments” where he still had his FOX hat and not his coaching hat. I told the team yesterday that we had an excellent offseason in this regard.
